Vita
The tenor Jonas Häusler studied from 2018 to 2022 at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich, earning a Bachelor's degree in Voice, and from 2022 to 2024 a Master's degree in Concert Singing, both under the tutelage of KS Prof. Andreas Schmidt. Since 2023, he has also been part of the Lied class of Prof. Christian Gerhaher. He gained his first musical experiences as a soloist with the Tölzer Knabenchor, where he regularly performed as the Third Boy in Mozart’s The Magic Flute. After his voice change, he was accepted into the Bavarian State Youth Choir, receiving vocal training from Hartmut Elbert. In 2019, he completed his Master's degree in Musicology. He has received important artistic impulses through masterclasses with Prof. Peter Sefcik, Prof. Thomas Heyer, Chen Reis, Ian Bostridge, Prof. Rudolf Piernay, Judith Gennrich, and Christian Oldenburg.
Jonas Häusler is an established tenor soloist who has made a name for himself with a diverse classical repertoire. He performs regularly in concerts both within and outside of Munich. His repertoire includes, among others, Brahms' Die schöne Magelone (Op. 33) and Haydn's The Creation. He has also sung major Evangelist roles with arias in Bach’s Christmas Oratorio, Heinrich von Herzogenberg’s The Birth of Christ, and Reinhard Keiser’s St. Mark Passion.
On the opera stage, he has portrayed roles such as the Podestà in Mozart’s La Finta Giardiniera, Tamino in The Magic Flute, Pedrillo in The Abduction from the Seraglio, and Loge in Wagner’s Das Rheingold. He is currently performing the role of Pedrillo with the Munich Chamber Opera, with guest performances in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, as well as at the Cuvilliés Theatre in Munich.
In addition to his artistic activities, he is involved in the project Singing Against Forgetting by the Retla association, where he makes music with people suffering from dementia. He also provides vocal training at the Tölzer Knabenchor. His artistic work is driven by a deep passion for music.
